yes, that is mostly cause of the interiors, But the vehicle is full accesible, when is stopped, you can really fire while you're in, and even more if you close the ramp, the enemy is not able to fire to you. Maybe i will add some more lods, to lower the vehicles poly count to 500 - 200 faces.

But i'm not sure yet.

For the poly cout i have to tell you that, the video was shoot in an island like nogova with a lot of Objects, and specifically in a village where the object counts is high enough. And i got 30 - 40 fps.

OK you asked it. so here it is

30-40fps i've got with the 1st lod,

(PIV 3,2Ghz,1024MB Ram, ASUS GeForce 6800 256MB RAM)

15-20fps 1st LOD around 20fps from gunners view

and 20-30 2nd lod

(PIV 1,5Ghz,512MB RAM,ATI Saphire 9500Pro 128MB RAM)

All the options to maximum for both pcs

View distance at 900

terrain detail LOW

D3D HW T&L disable (doesn't work anyway with 11000pol models and higher).

PS. i replace in the 2nd pc my 3 m113 (u see in video) with BIS m113 and i've got only 2-5fps greater. (so maybe is the island).

This is all i have to say, about the poly matter, but also don't forget that those are the high polys versions. And if you see the video you'll see that it takes place in a village with a LOT of objects and some other units.

Thanks but i'll apriciate if you comment more about the video, more about the m113 what you like what you don't like etc.

The high poly matter is wellknown to me, and concerns me a lot, but the solution exists and will happen.

hmmm... every structure can be brought down to a box. -> 8 vertices, 6 faces, no probs for a m113 in the highest res lod.
