wenker 0 Posted December 17, 2005 WOrking Gauges, and radars would be great for fp view in a cockpit wont you think? This way you do not have this thing with red squares top center on your screen that works like shizzzit. I think having a a full working cockpit for helo's and maily planes would bring a whole new feeling to this game...any cahnce of it in armed assault? whats the communities feelings on this? Big Dawg KS 6 Posted December 17, 2005 We alllready have working gauges, maybe you should try looking at them more often?
Student Pilot 0 Posted December 17, 2005 I have a plane that I am working on that has a fully working altimeter, horizontal indicator, airspeed indicator, vertical speed indicator, and artificial horizon. It is possible, but it was a pain in the ass to code some of the instruments, the altimeter, vertical speed indicator, and airpseed indicator for example. The instruments I coded aren't just eye candy, either. The altimeter will show you your actual altitude in feet, airspeed will show you your actuall airspeed, and vertical speed indicator will show you your actual vertical speed. What I would like is an easier way to code these instruments. -Pilot
Fresh- 6 Posted December 20, 2005 A working yet simplified cockpit would be nice. Gauges and radar would be an excellent bonus. Recently I downloaded quite a few choppers for Flight Sim 2004 from Hovercontrol.com . By adjusting some FS2004 settings (when realism is tuned down a notch) I've actually been able to land these, like I can in OFP, except a little more challenging. Some of these helos have sweet hi def functional cockpits and I hope Armed Assault will have something along those lines. We can only hope for a 'virtual cockpit' option which would allow to look around and could be zoomed in or out. This would help significantly in flying Fp while in combat or landing. The way the helo cockpit 'views' worked in OFP were somewhat restrictive as they did not allow for 'panning views'. In any case, I can't wait cause flying in OFP was truly a hoot!! berghoff 11 Posted December 20, 2005 Fully working cockpits would be hell as I don't want to read hours of tutorials so I know what each button does. But like Fresh said, a simplified cockpit is nice nothing to advanced

Student Pilot 0 Posted December 20, 2005 @Brataccas I hope to. I just recently fixed some texture problems I was having, and those problems were the main reason I haven't worked on it for the last 6 months. I'm back at it, and everything seems to be going fine. We'll see. -Pilot
