EiZei 0 Posted December 1, 2005 Having some kind of context (ie. what country, what force, when) would help quite a bit.

stgn 39 Posted December 2, 2005 Its a "model 96" version what ever that is? Picture page STGN
llauma 0 Posted December 2, 2005 The model 96 'UZI' is made by Romarm in Romania but the one in the picture seems more modern. Perhaps it's the second generation.
Tovarish 0 Posted December 2, 2005 From the word "bella" in the picture link, and what appears to be "Polizeria" written on her vest, I deduce she's from Europe allright, but not Eastern Europe - Italy. So, see what SMG's Italy uses. *edit* then again I could be talking out of my ass . But to be honest, I don't see much similarity to the Kalashnikov family. The news article said she is a Romanian police officer. Quote[/b] ]But to be honest, I don't see much similarity to the Kalashnikov family. It is a stamped sheetmetal reciever similar to an AKM or AK74, with a front and rear trunion, the fire control parts, bolt and pistol grip are in the same place they would be on an AK variant, and it has a selector switch that looks like it came right off of an AKM. That being said, I dont believe it is made by Kalashnikov...But its design is definitely influenced by the AK family I think it is indeed a variant of the RomArm weapon someone mentioned. Balschoiw 0 Posted December 2, 2005 The original ROMARM Model 96 looks somewhat totally different and the weapon mechanics itself are different also. ROMARM Model 96 Anyway there are similarities and it really could be that it´s the latest generation. There are a lot of technical differences though. There are a lot of technical differences though. The one in that pic looks very old but if you compair it to STGN's scetch all the rivets are accurate. Only the handguard has been added. Also the first pic looks like a promotion or an exhibition pic so it's not strange if it the version shown is updated. Perhaps Romarm is trying to sell their updated SMG to Italy. Tovarish 0 Posted December 2, 2005 It´s policia or policia stradale in Italy Meh, I was drunk at the time It's why I added the "maybe I'm talking out of my ass" disclaimer but I'd say for drunken deduction, that wasn't too bad
