t80 0 Posted November 24, 2005 Hi.. I cant see my missions, that i made in the editor, then saved them to SP-missions, i can play them but not see its name. when i reinstall the game, i can see them the first time i save them to SP-missions, then i add some marker to the missions, save them to SP-Missions and they got invisible, from now all missions are invisible that i made with or without markers, only thing to do is to reinstall the game and never add markers to the missions, what is this? pleas
flybyil 0 Posted November 24, 2005 I'm not sure if I understood your question right but here is how to open player-made missions: 1) Open Mission Editing 2) Choose "Load" 3) From the pop-up window click beside island name and choose from the list the island in which your mission takes place (you should see all island names there by now). 4) From (the same) pop-up window click beside mission name (usually "Mission 1" is on top). A mission list opens including all player created missions for that island. Markers become visible: a) in editing mode after pressing F6 ("Markers") and b) in-game: start your mission, select Map ("M" by default). NB: works in at least in GOTY version. NB2: if this answer was off your topic, could you explain your problem in a different way?
Chris Death 0 Posted November 24, 2005 Just for info: Save (export) to singleplayer will finalize your mission and then it can be found when clicking on Singleplayer button in main menu. The file will be located in the missions folder in your ofp folder as a .pbo file. A simple save in mission editor will save the misison under user/your_name into ofp folder, and the mission can be accessed from the mission editor again to be changed or updated. The filetype of the mission will be .sqm If you choose to export to singleplayer, you cannot overwrite the pbo file by exporting again to singleplayer - you must delete or move/remove the pbo file before from your missions folder. If you have had access to the file during your current ofp session, this won't be possible => you need to quit ofp remove the file and restart ofp. The other variant (sqm) in user missions folder can be replaced by save without problems. Just on a sidenote: export to singleplayer is not only save your mission but also pack it into pbo format, including all other files like scripts or description.ext, soundfiles or pictures or whatever you find inside the name_of_the_mission folder. In case you try to export a mission by using another name than the one you have choosen to save it into user missions, only the .sqm file will be found in the pbo. Same goes for saving an already existing mission into user missions - only the sqm file would be found inside the new name_of_mission folder - scripts you would have to copy over manually. ~S~ CD
