Camouflage colors

Recommended Posts

I bulding the second version of LVTP7, but i have problems with the camouflage colors. Is there a scientific or precise method in order to make to coincide the camouflage specks between the different faces of the vehicle?

Or the unic method is an "debilitating" try and try again?

The way I was taught and have learnt from tutorials is trial and error to align the camoflage.

Usually the best way is start with a base colour (i.e. NATO green) and add all the filters on top such as rust and weathering as you please then come back and add the camo colours (i.e. black and brown) underneath until they match. Its a biatch but that's the way the cookie crumbels tounge2.gif

Hi,

A usefool tool in determining the points where lines should match up between different faces is by using chequered patterns for textures (aka clownoflage textures). The squares should be sized depending on the pattern and they can be numbered or colour coded for easier determination. Rotate the object in bulldozer and make notes where the textures line up, then adapt your camouflage textures using the chequered texture layer for reference. This does not eliminate the trial and error process completely, but should certainly save some time.

To use features on vehicle models for determing where the camouflage should match up one can also use the schemes provided by the Panzerbaer website.

Regards,

Sander

There is a free demo version of the older release out there if you go look for it.

It may not have all the features the latest one has but its still just as good.
