fatcroc5 0 Posted August 16, 2005 for some reason, every pistol (no matter if its non-official or bis) is invisible. i can add the weapon, the magazine, but when i try to use it ingame, there is nothing in the hands. i can also see the smoke coming from inside the player, at the exact centre. wtf is wrong? Placebo 29 Posted August 18, 2005 Maybe if you provided some information it may help people to help you? If you don't post system specs, Opf version, addons installed etc. as a basic requirement then there's not much chance of anyone helping.
fatcroc5 0 Posted August 18, 2005 ok without addons i have same problem. 1. i have latest ofp version 2. latest video drivers basically ofp works fine except for the pistols, i think i must be missing a res addon or something...
Placebo 29 Posted August 18, 2005 2. latest video drivers Which means absolutely nothing, latest drivers for TNT2? Voodoo2? Geforce6? System specs = speed of pc, amound and speed of ram, motherboard make model, operating system version, directx version? All those things.
fatcroc5 0 Posted August 18, 2005 lol mate, i can assure you theres nothing wrong with that i think ive just overwritten a file or something didnt install properly...anyone know what files contain the res handguns??
Placebo 29 Posted August 18, 2005 O_WP.PBO Simplest is to uninstall completely then reinstall (of course copy everything you want to keep somewhere safe first).
mganik 0 Posted August 20, 2005 Gee, I surprised that placebo hasn't locked this thread and provided his standard response, "search the forum, this has been discussed before".... Â
Placebo 29 Posted August 21, 2005 I know you seem to have a cross to bear about moderators telling people to search, so here's the answer: Before I tell someone to "search before posting" I always try searching myself to make sure that if the person searched they would find the answer they were seeking, if the answer cannot be found then as with this case I try to help. Searching for "invisible AND pistols" did not provide a solution which is why I didn't close the thread and tell him to search. Now that I have replied, the next time you troll a thread about "searching before posting" you will be post restricted. Let's leave this unpleasantness behind us and get back to the better things in forum life
