revenge on the M60's

When playing this mission, I get the second soldier and the repair truck but the game seems to freeze when the repairs are being done on the tank, how long do the repairs take on the tank?

Also, I get creamed every time i go up against the 3 m60's literally within 20 seconds of seeing them, any tricks to get around or through them?

I can't remember the mission that you are talking about, but Repairs should be completed instantly.

If the game is freezing you have got a bug or some other problem.

sorry, forgot to mention the mission is in red hammer and it is called 'picking up the pieces'.

When i start repairs, the words repairing appear on the screen then everything stops (movement, sound, and so on), but i can still drive away in the tank, even though the words are still on the screen.

Also, the second soldier that i rescue does not become available tih the function keys, so i cant order him to get into the tank as a gunner.

That's quite right, you can't get the second soldier, he has to stay with the repair truck.

Make yourself gunner and the other soldier driver, this mission is easy if you go up the hill to the left of the road on the approach to the village. Use the go slow command and stop often, looking through your scope view, zoom in on the top of enemy tank turrets. From this hill the M60's will not be able to see you but you can place a sabot into their turret undetected, hit the turret first and the tank is basically dissabled, second shot will destroy tank completey........take it slow and use the terrain.

You will have to use these tatics on the next mission as well, as it contains 6 or 7 M60's in the village where the repair truck is!

It you are injured before you get in the tank, you will die from just a minor hit to your tank. This could be your problem.

I'm thinking of 2 missions here:

If I'm thinking of the correct mission. (the one where you have to set up fences/mines for a tank assault before the actual mission)

There is a ZSU-23 Shilka west side of the town (99% sure its west) Put 2 men in it, one gunner and one commander and let it take out any choppers or soldiers. You also have to make sure you put the repair truck in a well hidden position.

When the last wave came along, I found it easier to leave the BMP in the middle of the town and to hop out and use the AT-4. I took out two M-60's this way and took out the other 2 in the BMP. Snipe at them from between the houses.

Or is this the mission where you have to rescue the other tank soldiers?

If it is, its really easy. For your first M-60 contacts stay low like Gambba said and take out the turrets. When you are done dealing with the first 3 M-60s. Go up on the big hill so that you are above the tanks that are in the town. [Leave the repair truck where it is and order it to move when all the tanks are dead.] Take them out from there, you should be about 500m+ away from them. After that its a walk in the park.

One other question, is there an actual radio for communication so you can finish the first objective? I cant find it anywhere so i get a cross for the first objective.

In The Alamo mission , once you are happy with your defences then use the radio to tell HQ your ready
