Proxies Height

Recommended Posts

I'm placing a few proxies in a tent Im making but for some reason the proxies will be raised above ground when placed on a hill, I have set all proxies points to Keep Height (fence)

I have not bothered adding them to any other LOD yet, just the first lod. Is there something required elsewhere to make these things sit flat/On the ground esp when land slopes?

Thanks in Advanced.

Ok, np.

However this still doesn't answer the question as to why the proxies are ignoring everything I set and are fixed on horizontal alignment regardless of the ground.

I just need to know if this is POSSIBLE to solve or its just a proxy flaw in OFP.

Most proxies seem to be used with buildings, which in OFP always sit horizontaly. But there is a hint of proxies being used for Forest objects. There is a section in the configs for random proxies in forests, but I'm not sure there enabled.

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> #ifdef COMMENT

class RandomInForest

{

//models[] = {"str smrcicicek",0.3, rosti,0.3, "pahejl smrk",1};

models[]= {koule,0.5, cube,1};

autocenter=false; // normal vehicle are autocentered

scope=public;

reversed=false;

model = "";

simulation="randomshape";

};

And a bit further down:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">

/*

class Proxystr_smrcicicek: RandomInForest {};

class Proxyrosti: RandomInForest {};

class Proxypahejl_smrk: RandomInForest {};

*/

This might be one way of getting a proxy to follow the terrain? Sorry, thats all I can think of.
