Killing One Person

I am making a Sniper Counter-Sniper MP Mission.

In this MP mission.

It takes place in Cat's final Afghan Map.

(One of the big towns.)

AI will be engaging AI. (Insurgents vs. U.S.)

A insurgent sniper, (You or a buddy.) will engage the U.S. and U.S. Counter-Sniper.

In return the U.S. Counter-Sniper, (You or a buddy.) will be after the insurgent sniper. (You may have to also engage insurgent forces.)

To win.., Each sniper has find and eliminate the other sniper.

While trying to avoid being detected by the opposing team and their sniper.

While trying to do the same to the opposing team and their sniper.

My problem that I can't figure out is.

How will I set the triggers if one sniper is killed by the other or opposing team.

The mission will end!

Can you all help on this?

you create 2 triggers.

Final 1 and Final 2 are the type

In the first in the activation field

u replace this with !not alive sniper1

In the second u replace it with

!not alive sniper2

I tried just like you typed, "!not alive sniper1"

It comes up and says, "Typed Bool, expected nothing"

Anyone have any ideas?

You have a double negative, try:

!Alive sniper1

or

Not Alive sniper1

but not both.

If it is going to directly activate an end trigger I would suggest putting in a timeout delay so the end is not too abrupt.

Wouldn't it be more fair that the player whose side survives the battle wins? So the sniper who engages the enemy AIs might win over the one who sits still and holds fire until spotting enemy sniper.

The object to this MP Mission is to move around and try to find and eliminate the other sniper.

Kinda like the movie, "Enemy at the Gates."

But you also may have to deal with each others AI.

Yes, but what stops the sniper from sitting still? That would likely be the best strategy so you'd have 2 snipers sitting for god knows how long in their positions. Then the one who is finally bored to death starts to move around and get's it pistols.gifcrazy_o.gif

If you'd have it so that the side that survives wins, if sniper1 started shooting the AI it would force sniper2 to take action too because of the inbalance sniper1 creates.

If one starts killing the others AI.

Then the other sniper better move to eliminate him fast!

How would you and a buddy like to beta test this for me?

I need a beta tester!

Sorry but can't really help on testing, I got two own MP missions to test and one in the making. And also my "server" is fubared at the moment, as in operating system won't boot (Don't press reset during disk operations, kids smile_o.gif)
