MP Overrun 0.1 C&H

I'm making a new 6vs6 capture and hold mission set on AG_Smith's Afghanistan Revisited 1.2. Difference to regular c&h is that you must capture the flags in correct order, one at a time. So, to get the 3rd flag, you need the 1st and 2nd first. Respawn is at the flag that the team is currently defending. The team that first manages to hold all four flags for five minutes is the winner.

I made it to play it on LAN but can't properly test it for some time. If someone would like to try/test it, here it is:

Latest version: Overrun 0.2 C&H

New/changed/fixed stuff:

-Replaced the trigger mess with a more reliable system, now only the server decides when a flag is captured and transmits this information to clients

-Some small cosmetic changes

-Fixed end game script, all clients should now get the messages when other team holds all flags or wins

-'Fix' action to Kawas and 'Unflip' to Hilux

-Don't know what causes the incorrect respawn position bug yet, if it happens, try Radio Alpha to fix it

-AG_Smith Afghanistan Revisited 1.2

-BAS JAM2

-ORCS RF Airborne Troops Pack

-ORCS Russian Weapons Pack v3.2

-Lt Damage Toyota Hilux 1.1

-BAS Delta/Ranger addon

First five addons are the same as required by Dynamic Afghanistan mission, if you already have that working then you only need BAS Deltas/Rangers, which I guess everyone has already anyway.

I might make a larger version with more vehicles for bigger games and also addon-free versions later if there's any intrest for such.

the mission sounds cool, i'll test it on my next lan if i can get my friends to stop playing fallout tactics for a few minutes tounge2.gif

I'll fix the shots soon... Made some testing 1vs1 just now and found a few bugs, I'll fix them for next version.

-There's a script that should be run on all computers when either team get's all flags. The trigger that fires the script is activated on all clients but usually the script is only run on the server. Result is that sometimes, you'll only know that you've won when the music starts.

-Sometimes, the respawn position isn't moved correctly and you just spawn from your base all the time.

Maybe I should just change all logic to server side scripts... guess that would cut down the random errors a little.

I've also started making a conquest style mission (if you played Soldner you know what I'm talking about) using the same addons and same map. I've got most of the things figured out already, just need to write the scripts. It'll take some time due to the amount of logic and dialogs needed to make it work (lots of buying stuff and rewarding for killing/capturing etc). I still haven't figured out should I use AI or not, maybe it would be better that way because of the small amount of players around, but on the other hand, you already got CTI and RTS for that. Maybe I'll limit the AI for just one so you get a driver for your tank, or a dude to run to the flag while you cover him smile_o.gif
