Wa_Va_Voom 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Hi i want to use CSLA units specifically their Soviet units such as their choppers, bmps, mbts and wheeled vehicles to replace default units in regular OFP. Is there anything which I can do. I wouldn' usually ask for help but the encryption on the pbos won't let me open up the pbo hence I can't get the p3d file path therefore disableing my ability to change the default vehicle. Also is there anyway of converting a *.bin inot a *.cpp because I suspect that the relivent p3ds I am looking for would be located in the config.bin

Tomislav 0 Posted May 1, 2005 BinView and PboX are the tools you need for this. Sorry to bother you again what does each one do and can they depbo encrypted pbos? binview allows you to open .bin files pboX allows you to open pbos but then you still need makepbo to pack the folder, which you get after depoing with pboX, back to a pbo
nubbin77 0 Posted May 1, 2005 Quote[/b] ]pboX allows you to open pbos but then you still need makepbo to pack the folder, which you get after depoing with pboX, back to a pbo Pbox also will pack pbo's as well. Pbox is the best tool for extractin and packing .pbo's there is (IMHO). It is extremely fast compared to unpbo and make pbo. For example on my computer (I don't know if this is typical or not) pbox takes roughly 1 minute 20 seconds to unpack and repack the DATA.pbo file. Make PBO took me nearly an hour to repack. The length of time it took using make pbo kept me from ever doing any serious editing. PBOX made a world of difference and virtually eliminated the waiting portion of working on addons. I just felt I needed to chime in. It really seems that this tool is not very well known as people are still recommending makepbo and unpbo for editing pbo's and it just blows my mind when such a better tool is available.
