LightWalker 0 Posted January 27, 2005 I tried to search this forum for an answer, I really did ;-) Finished the Geomtry Lod of my chopper and the overall weight is nicely centered in the middle, right under the main rotor: It flies allright but when hovering at zero speed and doing an axis-turn left or right (X or C on my keyboard) the nose tilts down badly instead of staying horizontal. The turn itself looks like a jojo (up and down). I tried to shift the weight more backwards but that didnt change a thing. Anyone has a clue?
Footmunch 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Best advice is to get hold of the example models at: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/breathe Then open up the BISMi24 and take a look at how the GeoLOD is done by BIS. You could even copy that GeoLOD and paste it into your p3d - then just move vertices around to match the 'shape' of the NH90.

franze 196 Posted January 27, 2005 Assign the model a mass of 0, then reset the entire mass to a desired level. I'd recommend 2000-3000 for testing purposes. Although your CG looks correct, most of the mass is centered in the nose and below the fuselage, and OFP seems to regard that as unbalanced. Also, make sure that you've performed the "Find Components" function.
