BioHazzard - Apocalypse!

Hey guys,

Heres a demo of my new mission!

At the moment theres no intructions or breifing so ill tell you them (how kind of me biggrin_o.gif )

You start off in your base. the middle building of the 3 barrack looking buildings is where you buy troops. the tent is where you buy weapons and ammo. and thats it for now will be adding few more stuff later.

now idea is that you must protect the 3 towns, la trinite, saint louise, and larche from zombie invasion. You will be informed when one is attack, quikly load your men into your chopper and fly them there. Try and protect all the civilians in that town. If all the civillians should die then your funding will be cut by 5000. You'lll recieve 15000 every day inless of course one of the towns civillian population is wiped out.

and thats it at the moment. later versions ill add reasearch,special missions, and vehicle shed.

Any suggestions and ideas welcome. As well as constructive critisim biggrin_o.gif

Murphy, the game idea sounds good m8!! Seriously, a mixture of RTS along with zombies sounds excellent.

If you can make it MP then all the better!!!

ok new version, this time with research biggrin_o.gif (same link as before)

And yes i was thinking about multiplayer but im making this mission to get my memroy joged on OFP scripting. once i complete it ill see if i can convert it to mulitplayer.

My idea for multiplayer version is that instead of one base and one commander (the player) there will be multiple bases and each player will have a base, and will have to manage it while fighting the hordes of in local towns around there base. i can imagine players asking for renforcements and stuff of each other. be pretty cool biggrin_o.gif although lag would be an issue

Planed for next version - finished off research, at the moment autopsy, deployble MG, and Zombie nest detector array research dont work.

Build vehicles - Jeep MG, Ammo truck, maybe few more but no tanks, tanks would be over powerd.

Special missions - save VIP's, destroy zombie nests, any other suggestions?

Apocalypse mission! - the final mission, zombies attack all towns at the same time at frequent intervals. You must protect all towns for certain amount of time intill civilians are evacuated. (this mission only starts after somthing is researched..suggestions?)

buildble defences- mines, deployble MG's.

Im all out of ideas. What you guys suggest?

Will you be adding soldiers to defend the other towns? Your 12 men can't be there all the time?

As for tanks, why not? Just make sure you have to supply them with fuel and have the zombies attack the fuel bases more smile_o.gif

Well thats the point smile_o.gif you have to manage your group of 12. and cart them around from town to town. other wise you'll just get bored if you got enogh men to defend all the towns at the same time. Also once i implement the Deployble MG research you can deploy 1 or 2 of these in each town and man them with few your troops, giving you an effective defence in all towns. but the ammo on these m2's only being 500 you'll have to keep them pretty well supplied.

And tanks, even without fule would still be quite powerful against the zombies, and i can only spawn certain amount of zombies at a time or other wise it will lag like hell. (already dose a bit) but ill think about adding M113's.

also i think ill increase the time between attacks, because iv noticed that you never really seem to have enough time to defend one town, check it for any zombies left, go back to base, rearm, and get to the next town. When im playing at least i just end up going solo with 9 clips (which run out pretty fast wow_o.gif ).

Yes, ill download them and use them in the next version. And if your woundering why im useing Crew soldiers, well its because they look kinda like there wearing body armour and got a plain non camo clothes. So they look like sort of special agents for the zombie defence team. If you catch my drift.

Sounds interesting. I enjoy playing the zombie mod missions with FDF 1.3. Smacking zombies upside the head with an axe is really fun.
