Serious problem.

OK, I downloaded the latest version of the Y2K mod. And before I installed it, I cleaned out all the old addons I didn't need anymore. So after I installed the mod, I tried running the game. It wouldn't work.

So I uninstalled OFP, and reinstalled it. It didn't work. deleted the Y2K mod folder. And the game still won't work.

This is the error message I got everytime I started the game.

dxdll/config.cfg not found!

My version of the game is 1.96.

Delete the DXDLL folder and then download it again and reinstall it. You are missing the config for DXDLL. Deleting the folder and reinstalling it will fix it. When you reinstall OFP the DXDLL folder and it's contains do not get deleted.

EDIT: Also make sure you use the compatible water with DXDLL. It's on the Y2K3 website.

OK, I'll try that when I get home.

But just to make sure. I need delete the Y2K3 mod, and download it again. I don't have to reinstall OFP. Right?

I just want to make sure before I go and mess anything up worse then I already have.

No no, you just need to delete the DXDLL Folder. And reinstall it after (again) if you want to have it.

I got home, and this is what I did.

First I tried running OFP. It didn't work.

I went back and deleted the mod. And tried OFP again. It still don't work.

I reinstalled OFP. And it dosn't work. I'm going to reinstall the mod, and try OFP again.

Sorry about the double post, but I downloaded Kegetys DxDll addon. And I solved the error message problem. But I have a new one.

Every time I start the game, I go to the first black scree. Then it crashes.

I went and reinstalled the mod, plus the extrafiles. And it didn't solve the problem from my previous post.

So I need some help with this.

Did you try adding -nomap?
