View auto centres in heli cockpit with 1.96

I was wondering if anyone can shed any more light on this topic, which I have posted before.

Has anyone worked out a way to stop the view auto centreing on release of the joystick hat switch when pan your view around inside the cockpit of helicopters, planes, etc.

Frere look does not work with the POV hat switch.

Any help greatly appreciated as it makes flying around a lot less fun.

pres 5 on your numpad... if you're lucky the cross will stay in the middle.
