Messiah 2 Posted October 27, 2004 ok... i've got a static MG which worked perfectly, and i then started adding animations to the ammo belt... now the ammo belt, although defined in the OtocHLaven and OtocVez, doesnt follow the movement of the gun for some reason now... so i'm assuming, adding the rotation animation prevents the belt moving any other way? uiox 0 Posted October 27, 2004 For simulate belt anim you can put a second belt above the first in the "zasleh" selection with muzzle flash.
Messiah 2 Posted October 27, 2004 bloody hell.... why didnt i think of that... i've been doing it with setobject texture etc.... aaargh
Messiah 2 Posted October 27, 2004 the problem is still at hand with respect to 'does adding animations to an object, affect how it interacts with the rest of the model?' currently the ammo belt should move with the gun... and is defined correctly... after adding an animation to it, it now won't follow the weapon
uiox 0 Posted October 27, 2004 your selection need to be in the selections for rotation, sometime one or more vertice are out of your selection after that nothing work, check your points... And i'm not sure if an animation in other one works (rotation is animation, so the axe of the second anim will not rotate), don't remember exactly...
Messiah 2 Posted October 27, 2004 thats sounds about right... because the weapon has a horizontal rotation and the belt has a verticle rotation, the belt doesnt seem able to twist on its axis to adjust to the elevation of the weapon - but i will check vetexes etc to make sure
SelectThis 0 Posted November 1, 2004 A problem exists when using OtocVez with partial model selection (ie it won't work) you need to select a full object. With OtocHlaven you can select part of a object and the object will stretch. SelectThis
