snypa 0 Posted October 20, 2004 I'm currently working on 2 campaigns: 1# A campaign in Nogova where Russians fight against resistance, kind like in Checnya. You follow the way of Russian fighter... addons used: - VIT's APC pack - In the pack above came the resistance fighters that I'll be using - E & S Marine pack for russian units 2# Campaign in Tonal. Little behind story: "USMC marines and Russian Naval infantry are in Tonal in a peacekeeping mission. In one day when USMC soldiers we're holding a small village and resistance attaced, they opened fire. During the firefight Russian unit comes to help and USMC soldiers thought that they we're apart of resistance and opened fire. 9 Russian soldiers died and 2 USMC soldiers when Russians responced to the fire. The Russian leader of the their Naval unit took this as opening of war and attaced to several USMC positions." So the story tells about the fights between Russians and USMC. addons: - VIT APC pack - Tonal (all) - E & S Marine assault pack Also I'm working on a mission pack for special forces. So the question is: would you be interested in seeing these kind of campaigns (/storys)? Are these enough real? Comments? (I will keep this topic as my update topic. But comment people please!) BoweryBaker 0 Posted October 22, 2004 The second one and the one you briefly mentioned sound very fun. Â I think you'll have a hard time finding addons for the one you briefly mentioned though. Â There are only two special forces units out right now that you could say are finished, Rangers and Deltas. Â That means behiind the lines mission or anti terrorist one. Â Now...that Tonal conflict sounds nice. Â It'd definitely be a challenge to think of an end to the conflict but if it were me I'd probably be the type of guy to make it be about finding the one man who can prove what happened and secure the innocence of America. Â He's a villager. Â The village is behind enemy lines and the Rangers have to go in deep to find the villager. Â Thats what I'd do. Â I'd make a series of missions involving danger trying at finding the villager, perhaps one fruitful mission where you actually do find out where he is and you actually do find him and prepare to move out. Â Then the evasion sux and you get captured and thrown in prison as a conclusion but seperated in different cells. Â He's due for execution in a few days since he's mistaken for a rebel so you have to bust out in time to form an attack plan and get him out too. Then for the ending, I'd mimic the Chuck Norris movie "Missing in Action" where you bust into a courtroom with your guy who has the proof of the situation. So in conclusion you, as a Ranger, go in deep behind enemy lines to the same village of the conflict to find and make contact with the indiginous population finding out who saw what happened, ask them if they'd like to join you in testifying, the guy who was there, the lone survivor, isn't there, you find out where he might be, but he's not there. Â You find out where he works, he's not there. Â One day he returns from hiding into the village you been camping in, you talk to him, he agrees to testify, you prepare to move out, things go wrong you all get caught. Â Your team escapes from jail, promising to get him out before his execution date. Â You return with a major force, its the climax of the campaign, you suceed and bring him back. Â You bring him into the courtroom and prove Americas innocence with his testimony. Â It's both realistic and entertaining.
