When is a Weapon not a Weapon

OK heres a problem.

I want to create a "camera" script for my U-2 Pack and the UAV's i have in progress.  I'm not a scripter by any stretch of the imagination and would like some help.

Essentially I want to create a "weapon" that will:

1 - hit a target and that "hit" be detected by a mission based trigger

2 - not be visable to the observer.

3 - not cause any damage.

3 - can be mounted to an aircraft class vehicle.

I have originally thought of a Laser Designator based weapon but cant get it to work on aircraft.  Let alone work as intended.

If anyone has a suggestion or would like to collaborate on this i'd really appreciate the help.

Err, do you mean that you want to get some "target info"? Like the good old "which is the the target I'm locked on right now"-problem?

No, i want to detect when target is hit by a weapon that will not destroy it.

Basically imagine a UAV over flys the target takes some pics of a designated target (setup as a mission objective).

What i need is a weapon to simulate a 'camera' - that will record a 'hit' on the tank/object/tent etc - this weapon shouldnt be seen, shouldnt destroy anything or dammage the target.

As far as i know its not been done but any ideas would be appreciated.

I see. It's a bit similar what I meant but it' different too tounge_o.gif Sorry pal, no idea.
