ashaman 0 Posted September 1, 2004 OK first off creative's drivers are s*** NIX them. then go to http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/ and download these drivers. make sure to turn off hardware accel in opf (or it will sound like crap). This fixed all my sound problems. But(there is always a but, right), you will lose eax support (untill they can figure it out to support it). Hope this helps. oh and the drivers will swap your rear and front. chow
theavonlady 2 Posted September 1, 2004 A better idea would be to buy another audio adapter - no matter how cheap. Anything but an SB Live!
ashaman 0 Posted September 2, 2004 well yes that would be a better option but I put this here for the people who do not want to spend more money to get an outdated game to run.
Mister Frag 0 Posted September 2, 2004 well yes that would be a better option but I put this here for the people who do not want to spend more money to get an outdated game to run. The problem isn't specific to OFP, and especially with respect to future games (OFP2 and otherwise), a new sound card that gets more than passing attention from the manufacturer when it comes to writing drivers is the way to go. BraTTy 0 Posted September 3, 2004 And running your soundcard with hardware accel off must really be putting extra load on your sytem, not recommended with a slow cpu
