no car suspension - bug or feature change?

When I say suspension I mean the mechanical linkage underneath the car that supports the wheels. if you take a car model and config it as a car, the suspension doesn't work. if you config the same model as a motorcycle the suspension does work. So bis, is this a bug or what? Because everything from the original jeeps to the resistance vehicles have suspension selections on their models. Also, is there a way to get 2 separate non-steering wheels on a motorbike model?
