skypine27 0 Posted June 20, 2004 Im playing Resistance Campaign using the E-ECP mod, and I dont like the nightvision goggles at all. Â The ones in Y2K3 are great, but I dont want to play that full mod. Is there a simple way to change the night vision goggles used? (For all units) Thanks! skypine27 0 Posted June 20, 2004 Bneu: Whats the difference between the pbo's in the HWTL directory, and the pbos in res/dta? And when I "makepbo" the new directories, should I check all the compress boxes in makepbo? Thanks!
Rishon 0 Posted June 21, 2004 I find INQ's NVG's to be Inacurate, noone uses a HEADBAND to conect the NVG's, they use a head mount, also We use a Single lens goggle not a Dual Lens, I like the old one better because it's still somewhat realistic as it's an AN/PVS-5. benu 1 Posted June 21, 2004 The difference is whether you use direct 3d or direct 3d with hardware t&l. I am guessing probably everybody is using hwtl these days, and then only the files in res\dta\hwtl will be used. If you do not use hardware t&l (for some reason i can't imagine) then you should modify the files in res\dta. You could modifiy all of them anyway if you want to. BTW: it is always best to not modify the original files, but to copy them to a modfolder and modify those copies and run them from the modfolder. So if anything goes wrong you can get back to the original state without having to reinstall...
