The-Architect 0 Posted March 28, 2004 Hi there. I want to use James Gastovski's face and voice for my character in game. I copied the details from the campaign description. Here it is, class James { name = "James Gastovski"; face = "Face24"; glasses="None"; speaker = "Adam"; pitch = 1.10; Unfortunatly it sounds nothing like the actual voice file .OGGs. Are these correct? I know that the David Armstrong one is wrong for definate. Anyone know the correct details for these guys? Cheers.
Winters 1 Posted March 28, 2004 I dont think James' voice is available in-game. I think you can only use an existing .ogg from the actor who played him. I once tried this for Angelina and it didnt work as well. class Angelina { name = "Angelina"; face = "Face99"; glasses="None"; speaker = "Adam"; pitch = 1.15; }; as you can see she just has a slightly higher pitch than James does which is totally not accurate because it suggests either James has a high voice (which he doesnt) or Angelina has been smoking for far too long. The-Architect 0 Posted March 28, 2004 So how did BIS use his voice? I mean what voice did they use for him?
j-man 0 Posted March 28, 2004 I think they used a voice actor
The-Architect 0 Posted March 28, 2004 Erm.. I know that. I think you guys have the wrong idea here. I don't want to use his .ogg voice files. I want to use his .wss voice. As in "4 go to EA 45" etc. I want to define a cfg identity and have him talking not some other character.
j-man 0 Posted March 28, 2004 I dont think they used a custom voice for him. just try playing around with the pitch of some of the built in voices.
Winters 1 Posted March 28, 2004 Whenever James would speak it would be an .ogg file that plays. His voice is not available to be chosen as a voice you can use for a character.
