Bronco 0 Posted November 6, 2001 When you join game via dedicated server and the game has already started you wait at the infamous GAME IN PROGRESS SCREEN. BIS needs to make make this a little more user friendly. For starters the chat text is covered up by game in progress text at top of screen. Some servers have useful information like the time cycle for the game which is blocked by text. Maybe they could have this page like a web browser so you can surf the net while waiting to get into the next game. They could even put some banner ads there for a little extra revenue. The least they could do is move chat text to bottom of the page. Just a small gripe that s/b easy to fix. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

There are alot of times when you join a game and there is a guy that is away from his computer while waiting...then you have to wait forever for the guy to show up and click in unless there is an admin in the room. BigQEd 0 Posted November 9, 2001 Well there are several ways to solve these issues: Issue with people not responding during game setup: 1) Vote kick allowed at setup screens 2) A Server side setting for timeouts 3) Have the game continue and just plop the person in the next available spot... whether they like it or not. Issue with joining a game in progress: 1) Allow people that come in to fill slots that were taken by AI when the map began. 2) Allow them to ante up for the next mission so they are sure to get a spot... based on who entered first and so forth. 3) Allow those in the mission ONLY to vote for a restart... not those in the lobby.
