MadKiwi 0 Posted March 9, 2004 Hi, first of all here are my system specs: 750 MHz Duron 256 MB RAM GeForce 2 I have all the latest drivers and have my system set up well for OFP. Also, I have tweaked the OFP settings and manage to get it running quite well. When I play the official single mission Bomberman it runs very well with reasonable FPS but when I play the Invasion 44 converted version I get a lot of lag when looking at units. The FPS jumps up quite high when I'm looking at just the scenery but as soon as a unit (infantry, tank etc.) comes into view the FPS goes way down. I guess this is because the Invasion 44 models are more detailed so is there any way I can turn down the detail just for the units and leave the scenery etc. the same? MadKiwi 0 Posted March 14, 2004 Anybody? I can't upgrade my computer for another 200 years.
BraTTy 0 Posted March 14, 2004 Yes you can run "Flashpoint Preferences" /"Advanced" and "Textures" and you can turn down "Objects" individually. With your specs maybe try 8x dropdown too
MadKiwi 0 Posted March 15, 2004 Thanks for your help. I already have textures down and unfortunately increasing the drop down to 8x makes the frame rate worse. The reason for this is I followed the setup guide on the opflashpoint.org forum sticky which seems to work quite well with original BIS units. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait for another 200 years to be able to appreciate OFP in all its glory.
Acro 0 Posted March 15, 2004 You should really buy more memory. That should be the cheapest trick, helped me for at least. Memory isn't too expensive nowadays.  edit: typo
