BenMorton 0 Posted March 5, 2004 I recently bought Operation Flashpoint Game of the Year Edition but when I try and run the game I get the following error. Cannot create 3d device: Adapter 0 (Hercules 3d Prophet 9600/9600Pro Series) FullScreen Resolution 1023x768, format X8R8G8B8/D24s8, refresh 75hz. Error D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY So far I have tried: · Updating GFX Drivers, Motherboard Chipset Drivers. · Reinstalling OFP. · Disabling and Re-enabling the DirectDraw Accel & Direct3d Accel from Directx. · Increasing and decreasing Aperture size from bios. · Installing 1.96Beta. · Using the –nomap stuff in OFP short cut extension. PC Specs Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.60GHz GFX Card: ATI Technologies inc. Hercules 3d Prophet 9600/9600Pro Series Memory:256MB Main Driver: ati2dvag.dll Version: 6.14.0010.6414 CDROM: ASUS DVD-E616P BIOS version: Phoenix AwardBios V6.00PG Sound Card: SB Live! -STO-Badblood 0 Posted March 10, 2004 Have H/W T&L on? May (or may not) be the problem. If you can't toggle it off, try using an older driver for your video card. Keep your newer driver backed up just in case. May have to try a few different driver versions. I noticed some new drivers do not allow you to disable T&L. Worked good for me Direct3D w/o T&L (and old drivers). Just a suggestion. You may have to run FlashpointPreferences.exe again to disable it. Warning: Trying older drivers may crash your system.
