hellfish6 7 Posted February 24, 2004 Here's a pretty good free security scan:Check Your Security Hmm... according to that site I have a Trojan that all my anti-virus and other checks have missed. Anyone know a good (free) Trojan remover?

shadow 6 Posted February 24, 2004 Yeah, Ad-aware is the best when it comes to remove pr0n-cookies Done that alot to customers' pc's when they got certain pop-up issues on their computers and "extra-features" in internet explorer How much memory and cpu-resource does ZA take up? Never used it and never will (use a 3Com gateway). I trust hardware more than software.

Allthough, I've never experienced a case where Ad-aware have let me down.
Chris Death 0 Posted February 24, 2004 Quote[/b] ]How much memory and cpu-resource does ZA take up? hmm - on my older PC (P4 1300 mhz + win ME) i've been using ZA and had about 75% of free resources. When changing to McAfee firewall i noticed 92% of free resources On my newer PC (3000 mhz + XP) i went straight to install McAfee, so no comparisation stats from there. btw - on the older PC i'm actually using the Sygate firewall free version (where Toadlifes security scan comes from), but i haven't checked the performance yet, as i'm only using the machine for stuff like teamspeak server or OFP ded server to test mp missions in such an environment). Will check the performance with Sygate soon and report back here. ~S~ CD
