SolidSnake-(SNK) 0 Posted February 14, 2004 Hi I have made a crate that is 170x84x84cm But the soldier has no problem running straight trough the crate. When walking with the weapon on the back the collition detection somewat works. The object in the GeoLod is a single qube that are a little bit bigger than the crate, and i think i have done it all right. But when raising height of the geolod qube to 1.10Meter it works fine, but i dont want that high crate. To compare i placed the official bis crate next to mine, and that one is abouth 75cm high and with collition detection working. So is it something special i have to do on objects that are low to get collition detection to work? Help will be graitly appreciated
Scud 0 Posted February 14, 2004 in the geolod have you defined the components by using "structure" then "topology" then "find components" or make the geolod structure larger then the visual lod structure someppl say you cant do it but I have found no probs with it. SolidSnake-(SNK) 0 Posted February 14, 2004 Yes, i have done that, but still the soldier can run trough the crate. 84cm wide should be enough. If you want i can send you the crate and you can look at it. Thanx, for replying:)

bardamu 0 Posted February 15, 2004 Did you set a proper mass to your object? Try also find component convex hull after your components are defined in the GeoLOD.
