SpeedyDonkey 0 Posted February 12, 2004 Hi! Im glad you made this thread because i have a couple of questions. Being a Nvidia user im unfamiliar with ATI, but it took a quick look at the installation instructions that can be found here. Not only is the content in some parst contradicting to what ATI states on their main website. But the whole installation process looks more complicated (then Nvidias), especially considering that ATI's goal is to release new drivers each month Can these (and other) drivers be installed over the older versions, just like Nvidias? Nathanz 0 Posted February 12, 2004 Err i dont know if im totaly correct but i uninstall my drivers first then install the new ones (did the same with nvidia drivers) Edit:Speeling
nubbin 0 Posted February 12, 2004 Well, I haven't had any trouble with just updating the drivers. Pretty much identical to Nvidia. I was a long time Nvidia user until they dropped the ball last year. (I have no loyalty. Whoever has the best card at the time for an upgrade).

Nathanz 0 Posted February 12, 2004 yeah (shift eyes) nubbin: Does ofp work the same (or at all:P) than 4.1 ?
thirtyg 0 Posted February 12, 2004 yeah (shift eyes)nubbin: Does ofp work the same (or at all:P) than 4.1 ? I'm using 4.2 and have no trouble running OFP. As the guys said above instaling the driver is as easy as Nvidia.
