Â Very good effort put on it in modelling but the skin might need a little touching up. Just for the record whoever is the addon maker, that's the PLAF, not People's Liberation Army. Â PLAF is People's Liberation Air Force. I must also say some criticism about the video, it felt like the video was given a clearcoat of PRC propoganda before it was released... Â Ahem, cough cough cough, ahem... Â That was the biggest turnoff of the preview of it, other than that it was fine. Can't wait to see more of it, but next time the author needs to avoid propoganda as much as possible in showing it off unless it fits in with the storyline in a mission or campaign of whatever mod. dvm 0 Posted February 13, 2004 The video is nice, but... 1. IMHO, this aircraft is NOT looking as Su-27. It's more looking as F/A-18 2. IIRC, the Su-27 don't have ground-attack capability. It's interceptor, not attack plane. Ground attack features implemented in Su-27IB, Su-30, Su-27M. But AFAIK China have only Su-27 and maybe Su-30. Sorry for my English. Upon viewing the video I see that the author/creator does also specify the J-11 designation. The standard Su-27 does have ground attack abilities, but not that missile or any guided missile. China's Su-30MKK also does not have AGMs but their Su-30MK2s and MK3s will. You have to keep in mind OFP playability though. havocsquad 0 Posted February 13, 2004 Wasn't sure about saying PLAAF, when I thought of what it abbreviates it dinged in my head it was a typo or wrong ackronym, so I put PLAF. Frankly, PLAF sounds and looks a lot better than Saying People's Liberation Army Air Force. The only reason I was so critical about it is I get to see my more than enough share of seeing heavy political propoganda and for some reason that video just had a unique feel like those "educational" videos the U.S.S.R and China made back in the days of the height of the Cold War in 1960's and 1970's. I never once said his addon was bad or garbage in any way, the video just felt very odd and not like most OFP addon demo videos, felt more like a PRC government made OFP video. Anyways, yes technically the name should be J-11 for the aircraft but it IS an Su-27 and despite the PLAF modifications it still is an Su-27.
