Mp mussion bug

Recommended Posts

Hey people,

I would like to find out if anyone can relate to this bug that is apparent across the different versions of OFP.. from v1.85 thru 1.94 tested on various systems with different OS & specs.

[ Multi-Player Setup ]

1 x M113 with (Human) Driver, AI Gunner

1 x (Human) Group Leader with 7 x AI Men

[ Scenario ]

1. (Human) Leader orders 7 x AI Men to mount into the cargo area of the M113. Note that the M113 is not in this infantry group. Doesn't make a difference if (Human) Group Leader is in M113 cargo.

2. (Human) Group Leader orders AI men (sitted in M113 cargo) to dismount.  AI men DO NOT want to dismount until the M113 (Human) Driver dismounts himself first. wow_o.gif  wow_o.gif

This bug is causing a lot of problems for my multiplayer missions.  It seems that this problem extends to all APC-class vehicles. Have you experienced this and does anyone have a workaround for this?

Replies would be much appreciated, thanks !  smile_o.gif

Yes, I've seen this bug come across once or twice, with an AI driver in an M113. The AI passengers would refuse to get out after an order to unmount. The only solution for me was to shoot the AI driver, after which the AI passengers would get out instantly.

This problem occurs because the m113 is local to the

player being the driver.

Now your ai men are local to your machine, therefore

they won't get out, as long as the m113 remains local

on the other machine.

Once he leaves the vehicle, it's nomore local to him

and they are able to dismount it.

This is a problem, which can easily be solved in your case

by the driver leaving the vehicle, but think about what we

mission editors have to do to get such situations to work

properly, if it's intendet to work without any player's help wink_o.gif

I agree, that this should become fixed, but i also understand

that BIS wouldn't be able to change the whole network

engine once more, as they might be very busy with other

projects at the mo (*hint* OFP2 smile_o.gif )

so what do you do to overcome this? will any force eject command work in any case? wink_o.gif
