OK I´ll try to describe your problem to see if I got it right:

1. You place 2 soldiers on map

2. the soldiers have a waypoint

3. there is a helo

....

from this point on I´m lost. I don´t understand what you want to ask. Please try to describe your problem again and I will try to help you.

Yes I place two soldiers and an emty helicopter on the Island then a waypoint that the helicopter must fly.

When the soldiers mount the heli and I give the command go to next waypoint ( move>9) nothing happens.

With cars it works fine.

I know it works before. But I made a new installation Windows and OFP. Also I have the same problems as many people that after a few minutes playing OFP crash and return to normal desktop. I have installed the latest drivers for my motherboard and Geforce card.

Wait, you mean you place 3 soldiers, one of them is you?

Well, I tried this with an empty helo, two squadmates and a waypoint for the group to go across the map. I ordered them in, and they wouldn't go.... Then I hit retry, and did what was exactly the same thing as far as I can tell, and they did go. rock.gif

Let me understand.

-You are there in command of 2 AI guys in front of an empty helicopter

-You have a MOVE waypoint far away for you (and so for your 2 teammate, as they are under your command)

-You order one AI to go in pilot position of the chopper

-You order the other AI to go in gunner position of the chopper

-When they are both in their position inside the chopper , you select them both (keys F2 and F3) and in the command menu that appear , you order them to MOVE (key 1)  then to go to next WAYPOINT ( key 9 )

Now, your problem after doing exactly that, is that the chopper does not take off and does not fly to your waypoint ?

That is strange, as i just tested it myself to see it working perfectly (they took some seconds after my move+key 9 order to take off) .

Are you sure , you dont send your teammate in cargo position of the chopper ?

Now , for your crashing problem , are you using the 1.94 beta patch that fixes a lot of crashing problem according to people (and if using this 1.94 executable , have you tried to include  -nomap   in this 1.94 shortcut ?)

Then you should read the 4 pages of this thread , some individuals seem to have succeeded in solving their problems .

Finally , notice that geforce latest driver doesnt mean best and most stable driver.

Find a driver that is good and stable , and do not care of the latest one if this one is buggy for you.

Oke the waypoint works again.

What I did was set screen on 32 bits. Because the performance test with 3d works only the best in 32 bit.

I put myself as player on Island with chopper and two men in it.

First on the command move>next waypoint it did not work.

But then I did retry and give the same commands.

Now it works.

Thanks

P.S. Where do I have to set -nomap ?

You have to make a shortcut to the 1.94 executable , and edit this shortcut properties , then add -nomap

like this in the shortcut command line (by default install)

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">"X:\Program files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\FLASHPOINTBETA.EXE" -nomap

(X is the letter of your hard drive where OFP is installed

both the 1.94 beta patch and -nomap command should solve lot of crashing , and remember that too much addons in the same folder can cause crashes too.
