Koolkid101 0 Posted November 30, 2003 For all you paintball dudes out there is this cocker worth it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=47251 Feel free to beat me in the bidding because I'm having second thoughts, but does anyone here know if this autococker is worth my $172.50 dollars? ozanzac 0 Posted December 1, 2003 Looks like you lost. Probably for the better, I don't see a hopper or a gas cannister. And besides, a pump action shotgun is more fun.

I must agree with Onzanzac on this one, the pump shotty will be more fun, but I think it would probably be a bad idea to use it in a paintball match. Autocockers are pretty good, to see one for under $400 is surprising. I would bid on it if you have nothing better to buy.
VerySolidSnake 0 Posted December 1, 2003 i personally do not like autocockers at all, there are better guns out there. Blowbacks are getting better and better, invest in a Dragun TES, they shoot faster, and have lower maintence

ozanzac 0 Posted December 1, 2003 Quote[/b] ]I think it would probably be a bad idea to use it in a paintball match. Oh absolutly! The pros go nuts when they're runnin around with their Semi's. But for leisure/fun/cost purposes, a pump action shotgun is the way to go. It's not as expensive. You don't blast your paint away like Rambo. And personally, I think it's more satisfying running around, cocking your gun all the time!
VerySolidSnake 0 Posted December 1, 2003 depends what kind of game your playing, in the woods pumps are like unstoppable, i used to own with those. But then i got into speedball, and well... you wouldn't last a second with a pump in one of those games.

When I go Painballing, I go with about twenty or more peeps. Usually we split the group so theres an equal amount of semis on each side, and usually about six-eight people want semis. Basic strategy is to team a few shotgun players per semi player and work in teams of three. I ask (actually yell, scream and rant at) one team to flank left, one to flank right, and one to cover the center whilist I run like hell to gain as much early ground as possible. I find a pump only sucks when I've managed to get into a situation that I should never have allowed to get myself into.
Baron von Beer 0 Posted December 1, 2003 If you've never owned a cocker, just be warned. They can be tempermental, but personally, I love em. I wouldn't trade mine for anything (Well, maybee a decked out Angel....). It runs more or less perfectly, so long as I give it a good inspection/test before playing. Worst it ever did to me was the cup seal went bad durring a game. Had the tool, and a spare, so 5-10 minutes latet, I was good to go. Really important to know the fields you play at if you are knew with a Cocker. The owner and a few refs at the field I played at when I lived in the Dallas Tx area were the best. They were always willing to take the time to help me out, explain/teach everything there was to know, and even did some work for free. (I was a regular, guess they really did value the players business there!) Having somene to show you the ropes WRT Maintenance is a great asset!
