baff 0 Posted October 8, 2003 i can however see it on the lan, and also i can connect to it via my internet ip address of 80.1.206.187 i turned zonelarm off completely and it still didn't show. can't get it to show up on all seeing eye either. i feel it must be something simple like the server reporting port. but i can't spot my error....... any ideas, hints or solutions please? GhostX 0 Posted October 8, 2003 check your DNS and your fully qualified domain name problem is that IP 80.1.206.187 is not resolved for any hostname - and this is necesary (for 99%) if u have any domain, than assign some secondary level domain name to this address like 80.1.206.187 - ofpserver.myowndomain.com or contact your provider and ask for a hostname in his domain Easy to understand ? I hope so.
benu 1 Posted October 8, 2003 The reporting port is serverport+1, ie when your server runs on 2302 then your reporting port is 2303. Both are UDP. You should have a line like<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> reportingIP="master.gamespy.com"; in your server.cfg, which you load with a command line parameter like -config=server.cfg.
