Matrox g450 and glitches... :/

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Long time ago, that means 2 months ago, I've had a perfect os named Win98SE. Then I've had to change it to more perfect system called WinXPpro. While 98SE was a very nice system and everything was ok, XP occures to have problems with graphics.

OFP errors:

It even sucks in editor.

I have Matrox Millenium G450 DualHead card, VIA chipset on Abit KT-7A MB

All problems occure on std XP drivers for the card.

Problem visible on xp03.jpg does not occure after installing "newest patch".

Matrox support suckz.

Help :'(

That card is designed for business, not gaming. rock.gif

Do you have the driver from Matrox, or is the driver a Microsoft driver?

First thing I would try is disabling multitexturing and/or enabling "W-buffer" in your graphics settings.

Like I said, I have tried both Microsoft and Matrox drivers, and with Matrox drivers the problem on xp03.jpg (brown fill under horison) was fixed.

But the texturing problem is everywhere.

Multitexturing and W-buffer switches have not helped.

And like I said, the card was good for gaming under 98SE. The problem is only under XP.
