302_Dragon 0 Posted September 1, 2003 Just a few updates.... The AAVP7 is close to being finished...the only thing holding it back is the Textures. Waffendennis is about 90% complete with our Mods Island of Oahu. Scorpio is still working on the CH53E, slowly but diligently. ================== The USMC Mod is looking for some more help. We are in need for scripters texturer's and 3D modelers. If you would like to help please email me at webmaster@dragon-horde.com ==================

Bluesman 0 Posted September 3, 2003 Is this mod related to Sucheys/Earls Marines? If not, is there any co-operation between the teams? Could be one source for textures . I've been waiting for a more complete USMC package for almost erm 1.5 years now. BM
Major Fubar 0 Posted September 3, 2003 The AAV model looks really good. Are there plans for a Marines campaign?
Bluesman 0 Posted September 3, 2003 Yeah it looks good. Now it needs some actual Marines it can transport. Hope Suchey ang gang are busy . Btw, what's the main difference between this and the AAV7 made by Tales of War? I've been using that one as a general purpose IFV in lack of better options. 302_Dragon 0 Posted September 3, 2003 Yes we are cooperating with Suchey and Earl. His Marines, when finished will be apart of the USMC Mod. Suchey was kind enough to let us use them once they are finished.

BM What the main difrence is?: First off all... Look at the name... TOW made an AAV7 with an MK19 GL and M2.50 MG. And USMC is making an AAVP7 and there is more difrence in ill shearch the blue prints for you and then you can see it

Is the TOW AAV7 used at all in the USMC? Or is it an obsolete vehicle? Or fictional altogether? BM
NZXSHADOWS 0 Posted September 3, 2003 The real deal.
302_Dragon 0 Posted September 4, 2003 Ok there really is no major difference except what type model that is made...the version the TOW made is the same model that the USMC Mod is makeing, just NZXShadows is adding armor plating and I believe that he will be able to do a more detailed job with it's design. This is why I didn't pull the project when the TOW came out with their's. TOW did an excellent job, but I think we can make ours better ( no offence if I'm bias LOL) Also here are some pics of the real deal. AAVP7A1 "Personnel Carrier" (What we are making) AAVR7A1 "Recovery Vehicle" AAVC7A1 "Command Vehicle" As you can see there are three models of the AAV. The USMC Mod is making the Personnel Carrier Model.
302_Dragon 0 Posted September 4, 2003 The AAV model looks really good. Are there plans for a Marines campaign? Actually Major fubar there are plans for a campaign but also plans for an online mulitplayer campaign...I can't go into much more detail then this but I'm am confident the Hardcore OFP players will like it. It will hopefully bring out a more realistic form of gameplay to the OFP community. Right now I am getting ready to recruit mission designers to help create this massive project. If anyone is interested then please email me at webmaster@dragon-horde.com or if you have MSN, IM me at dragon_302nd@hotmail.com (do not email me there I don't answer those emails.
