Character and AI can't move after mission start

Recommended Posts

Howdy,

whenever I spawn into a mission, after starting my character and AI team are unable to move, neither of the movement keys work, cant open inventory, cant shoot. I have uninstalled all mods, and deleted and reinstalled the game, and still have the issue. Please help?

Hello, Welcome to BI forums!

  • What mission or missions are you playing where this happens?
  • Are these vanilla scenarios or custom scenarios made by you or another from the workshop?
  • Are you playing singleplayer, editor preview, mp lan, or on a dedicated server?
  • Have you checked your controls in options? and what are they set at, defaults or did you customize them?
  • Are you using a controller? or a gamepad?

Howdy Gunter!

Dynamic Recon Ops Ace, Kujari, straight from steam, single player, checked controls, haven't changed any, and using keyboard and mouse

Hi, So the same issue in the same mission, have you tried to test in the editor without mods to be sure

its not Ace, DRO, or Kujari with a bug?

Suggest you do that, open the editor, choose VR, place a soldier and see if you can move, if you can,  quit, load ace, repeat,

if you cant move its ace, if you can then it might be the DRO mission.

Do the same test on the Kujari map without a mission, just open it in the editor, place a soldier, hit preview and see if you can move,

if all is good, then load ace up test it again and test.

Test the DRO mission without ace and see if anything changes, if there is a change then add ace.

This is an elimination process, all your doing is changing the variables to determine what could be causing the issue.
