Nuclear W 0 Posted August 5, 2003 Do you think on the editor it should have many types of the same aircraft (like A-10, A-10 LGB) or just an aircraft that you can choose the weapons for. For example: I select A-10(I know they wernt in early 70s) Instead of choosing a different type of the same plane, I select 3 Mavericks 2 Sidewinders 1 LGB get it? WhoCares 0 Posted August 5, 2003 You might extend it more general. Why not have it also for choppers, tanks and infantry? So you would basically choose the chassis and you can then define in a submenu the loadout, e.g. to turn a M113 into a Vulcan.
El Savior 0 Posted August 6, 2003 How about if you could reload different loadouts in ammo depot. Just drive your vehicle near ammo depot/car and choose what weapons to carry. Â With aircrafts and helicopters you could load to the maximum takeoff weight (load is also depending how many pylons aircraft have). More weight and more unstable and slower your aircraft is, in other word needs longer runway. El Savior
Harnu 0 Posted August 8, 2003 I'd like the option to set how many bombs I'm going to drop at once. I.E. In OFP1 sometimes I need two LGBs onto an area, not just one. Or even flying high overhead and droping the entire payload in one fell swoop.
havocsquad 0 Posted August 25, 2003 Bomb pickling options should be controlled by MFD's for OFP 2. Â It is an ABSOLUTE must if BIS wants to compartmentalize damage for fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft, an easy to use Multi-Function Display on most aircraft would give addon makers a HUGE area to experiment with. Â This would let OFP players know how much range their aircraft has, display the weapons currently on their racks, system failure section, and a navigation display for long range missions. There are some more complicated display modes that are used, but these should be good enough for OFP 2. It would also help if BIS has seperate keyboard modes for different types of combat in OFP 2. Â One that suits infantry operations best, another that works with vehicles and armor, and one that is primarily with aircraft type keyboard layout. I get tired of having to scroll down the action menu just to activate ECM or landing gear. Â I WANT to just hit g, then hit f for flaps and start my descent. Anyways, this would GREATLY appeal to all areas for OFP 2 players. Â That way, when you go in a certain type of warfare, the controls are more effective than having to click all over the screen to do tasks. Overall, what is needed is selectable loadouts for aircraft, Multi-Function Displays in OFP 2 aircraft to compilment selectable loadouts, and different keyboard layouts for different types of warfare in OFP 2. I'd like some Feedback or some flak about this. Later. Havoc.

Totally agree with all of this. I don't think the selectable chassis idea such as for a LAV would be too good, better to stick to airborne craft.
Wonder 0 Posted August 28, 2003 What if you could choose your loadouts in the briefing, regarded that you'll start your mission in an aircraft?
