It is true that when you are shot it is very difficult to be able to protect yourself and this action could save lives and add new gameplay for veterans who like to fight, the roll would be an action that would consume endurance and its speed of action would be proportional to the weight of the player's equipment.(light or heavy for example) To prevent players from abusing it, adding a slight waiting time before being able to start a roll again of about 1 second seems correct to me to avoid having a "ninja turtle" who only does this with an adrenaline caffeine.
