Vladmir 0 Posted August 3, 2003 I am trying to make some autumn trees, I know how to edit them, but how do I assign the textures to the respective models and get them to work without using the default assigned. example: How do I get from O\tree\akat_01_lsd2.paa to ObjLidov\akat_01_lsd2.paa Also, this may be a DUMB question, but where the heck is the alpha channel in adobe photoshop elements? All I get is different RGB color layers. Thanks
scousejedi 0 Posted August 4, 2003 The alpha channel in photoshop is quite nice. A tga with an alpha channel is 32 bit. If there is no alpha channel its 24 bit. In photoshop 7 you just save as a tga and click on 32 bit to make a texture with an alpha channel. Any transparent bits on the image (The grey and white checks) will be transparent on the texture. The problem is that v7.00 has a bug which produces feather edges on transparent textures. The patch fixes this but only bought copies can patch. If you are using photoshop 6 or less there is a tutorial on this site somewhere, have a look in oxygen docs a few pages back for 'transparent' posts. As for the path bit - I don't have a clue. Lobanak 0 Posted August 5, 2003 The change of the paths is done with the tool "textureswap" (filename: texturep3d.exe). Look at ofpec.com for the tool. Greets Lobanak
