could anyone tell some good strategy tips of getting good kills and trying not to get shoot?

I have tryed these ones.

-Get in a tank! there unstopable! myonly worst fear is another tank and antitank soldiers ,other than that I blow up tanks ,and soldiers!

-hide in trees, and bushes, best way to hide especially when you're a sniper with extra camouflage.

-prone all the time,I most of the prone while in combat,I never stand up ,anyone could see plus I sometimes I stick out my head and my gun out of a bush to shoot someone ,plsu proning is accurate on you're gun.

Depends on the tank you're in. If you're in a crap M60, you have a lot more to worry about than if you're in an M1A1.

Look out for flying bullets.

Hit others with flying bullets.

Stay low.

Resist temptation to run AT people.

Above all: "Nobody moves, nobody gets hurt!"

1: do not shoot unless you have a good chance to kill.

2: seek a good position to the side of where the enemy would be facing at.

3: if spotted, leave...take no chances, no need to have a battle against someone who is shooting at you.

well, if you send me 15 quid and/or a copy of return to castle worlfenstein i will give you ''Ruskies L337 manual on Yank Stomping'', which contains all the cool strategies from the man himself (me)

now i know what you're thinking, it'll be rubbish, its tacky, but just to prove how useful and invaluable this book is, i'll give you some FREE tips:

squad leader:

''if anything seems suspicious to you, or you want to see whats behind those bushes, send your squad in its general direction and watch what happens''

normal infantryman

''Cadet Mode is your friend, use it wisely and the russian bases will be jam packed with cold, rotting corpses ready to ship back to moscow''

engineer:

''Put mines on roads, 60% of the time it works''

sniper:

''nick a dragunov off someone, otherwise just pick up an M16 or AK''

Tank Commander:

''When you see some enemy tanks, just run and hide behind a big mountain and mop up afterwards, not only will you nick all the kills but you'll get the credit, you'll also look better to other players''

Cobra pilot:

''When you've used up all your ammo, eject, and steal a hind, they're good''

A-10 pilot:

''If you find a mission hard just crash your A-10 into some enemy tanks, its fun''

Law soldier:

''Generally T-72's and T-80's can take up to three Law/rpg shots, remember this whenever they show up''

now, you must be thinking how amazingly useful this book is, but to you non believers, listen to these customer reviews:

Black Op: ''I was rubbish at opf until Ruskie gave me his book, he truly is L337. i never knew how useful a squad of men could be until i read his book, i die a lot less now that i'm aware of his squad leader tactics, he is a god amongst men, i recommend you spend the 100 quid (it has been reduced to 15 quid now) on it, well worth it''

and he's the only one who has bought it as of yet, but don't be discouraged, we all know how incredibly L337 he is now!!

so if you want a copy just e-mail me at REMESkiing@t-online.de and i'll sort you out with the tactics that'll not only bring out the fun of opf, but also give lots of lovely kills and stuff.

Thats REMESkiing@t-online.de

Don't sit still if the enemy knows your position. If so, only sit still to shoot when there isn't many who can shoot you, or when behind cover to through their judgments off.

Prone is good, but remember it takes you a while longer to be able to get away from your current position should big trouble arise.

Also, the hk is good for close sniping, cause if you're well hidden, the enemy will have a prick of a time trying to find you, and there is little recoil in that gun.

''You asses have the attention spans of handicapped 3 year olds.''

we actually have much larger attention spans. i personally have the attention span of a 16 year old.

''Also, the hk is good for close sniping, cause if you're well hidden, the enemy will have a prick of a time trying to find you, and there is little recoil in that gun.''

hey, i never liked the HK because i found that sometime when fired at stationary target i had to aim to their left slightly (so the reticle isn't actually over the target) to get a clean hit, and putting the reticle directly over the target would result in more misses, does anyone else experiance this with the HK?

My rules are few and simple. Keep moving or hide out of site NEVER i repeat NEVER put yourself in a direct target range expecially in a mission unfarmiliar to you. Next always go for the head or the heart. Next kill every enemy because he is likely to come back at the worst times ever. Always aim a little forward with moving targets. Use destroyed vehicles as hiding spaces. Always look for an alternate way to achive victory. Example: You are a one man team on a desert island and you are trying to eliminate a SCUD producing plant, meanwhile a group of four hunters are hunting you as there prize. There are rocks imbetween the plant and the starting point. The hunters are coming from the west of the starting point which leaves your back unprotected. What do you do? Be Rambo and blow the base in one sweep. Hide untill the hunters come and suprise them. Neither you see the scud lying on the ground and shoot it with as much as it takes and it will set of 2 others which will cause the a chain reaction leading to the plants destruction and the guards death. In this scenerio you have a extraction helicopter so what do you do then? Run and kill the hunters? Hide and kill them. Neither you go to the helicopter remembering that hunters have shotguns and shotguns have small area of accuracy so you know it is ok. But here could be other variables like the hunters have AK47's or one of them is a LAW launcher soldier. You have to think a strategy for the thing that happens before it happens. Good luck!

Learn it by trial-and-error

For example...you are wandering through the countryside one sunny afternoon, and suddenly you hear a shot ring out and a bullet hits the ground right in front of you. What do you do?

a: Stay where you are and slowly scan the horizon in the direction you think the bullet came from. Remember; if your're standing on a ridge, you will have better vision of the area.

b: Yell "Under fire!" and hope for someone to rescue you.

c: Run towards the direction the bullet came from, shooting random sprays (while you run), until you are close enough for a handgrenade to do the dirty work.

D: immediately zig-zag for nearest cover (tree, rock, building or vehicle), check your flanks, take quick peaks in the direction of enemy fire and move from cover to cover until you are in position to waste him. Check your ammo, compass, possibly map for covered routes to your target.

E: immediately zig-zag for nearest cover (preferably a bush or tuft of grass), shot some bullets towards the direction of enemy, and then stay there looking straight ahead until something happens.

Try it out, repeatedly, and see which ones get you  killed the most.

Very well written. My best "kills" are when I aim in front of an enemy running at full speed, a little bit higher, one shot - one kill. Am not sure whether I should be worried about myself when I get that feeling, though..

Also, I am not sure about hiding behind vehicles. Have tried and it seems to work, but I never trust the AI enemies and how they work. Example please? smile.gif

anyone here is a very skilled sniper?

kill players a few miles away...

I was praticing a few times trying to get some skill. My kill radius is around 600-700m.All you have to know is how far the enemy is and you pull the dragnov far enought that the bullet will get him.
