Start up difficulties

Here's my problem:

Few weeks ago, Inquisitor's weapon and unit pack came out. I downloaded, put in Res\Addons folder, went to start OFP. Got the following error message:

HWCEXT_GETLINEARADDR Failed

Took the mod out of the folder, OFP ran like a champ. So I lived without the weapons and units.

Now today, Panserfurst's island came out. Put it in the Res\Addons directory, started up OFP, got the same error. Why?

I was thinking, I have a lot of weapons and units, and I have a lot of islands. Is it possible that I have too many, and I have to manage them somehow, and remove the ones that I'm not using? Just a thought.
