Sound suggestion

sound in operation flashpoint was the best. ever. period.

now, I do have a suggestion i sometimes think about when i'm playing on a 5.1 sound set.

i'd love to see something like this..

the whole 5.1 speakers boost the sound BUT a dedicated channel for the radio sounds could be transmitted to a phones.

so we'd have

me in the center and the 6 channels boosting sound from the game while i'm using phones and hear the radio messages, separately from the ambient noise.

this way, i could have the 5.1 sound even louder while the phones would act as a "filter" and would supress the sound that would eventually hurt my ears.

now that would be totally realistic and cool too! it also helps online communication with team mates on voice chat.

Hmmmm... Interesting idea

You mean using 4 speakers for the ambient sound and the headphones in mono for the radio? (that's your 5 channels in the 5.1 system)

Maybe just using the centre speaker for radio chatter would be enough to do that.

I hope they will include decent sound in opf this time, specialy weapon sound, the M60 and 50 cal. are almost funny, invironmental sound stops when a gun goes off, not to mention the probs ppl with SB live have (me included) .
