What lods and selections should a fence have?

Subj, anyone?

Right now I have Model LODs, Geometry, View Geometry, Fire Geo.

And, what is a minimal width of a Geometry component, so you cant walk thru it? AFAIK, aboit 0.5 metre, can I make it thinner?, e.g. 0.25? right now if it is thinner then .5 i can run through it...

A.)pheeew!!!!!! if u wanna walkthru fence, save up on the LODs! ( each box u have is an additional cpu processing polygon).

no need for lods at all. ( just 2 faces will do - one front and one back, no need any width)

B.) But if u want a fence that u can fire on and blow up:-

1. GeoLOD - half a metre thick

2. fireLOD - same

3. hit points - 3 or 4 vertices.

5. view geoLOD- not necessary.

4. config:- destructype = destructtree.

armor = 10

PS: in the main lod, your model can be 1mm thin but the other geolod can be thicker, no harm, as ingame, its the main lod that is visible and not the other lods.

In Geo I have one Box,2x2x0.5

FireGeo is a thin box with two boxes (basis), like my fence.

Viewgeo is a simple thin box

And the ViewGeo IS nessesary, as without it I can see light coming from the other side crazy_o.gif
