sw22 0 Posted June 2, 2003 Anyone know how to get the truck back to base without getting riddled by the Hind or the enemy troops that seem to be everywhere? I've got to the beach, fired the flare and then loaded all the stuff from the boat, but I can never get all the way back to base before some swine pops up out of the darkness and clobbers the truck. -TU--33ker 0 Posted June 4, 2003 It's pretty easy. just wait with your men at the beach and grab an AA launcher from the truck. the first wave of infantry was wasted by my squad because I equipped them all with NVGs, SVDs and RPGs, except for two MG. Actually my squad did all the work. they destroyed all incomming BMPs while I shot the Hind down. the rest of the mission was an easy ride to the meeting point. FSPilot 0 Posted June 8, 2003 I didn't even bother with the hind. Just high-tailed it out there. I think the BMP nailed me once, but it might of just been a close call. The trick to getting helicopters and tanks off your back is the forests. I don't know how it works, cover is only cover until you're spotted by someone, then every enemy AI knows about you. EBass 0 Posted June 8, 2003 Ive dont this mission 3 or 4 times and every time I've just put my foot to the floor and headed ENE. Never been hit. Well maybe a few hits but never killed. I managed to complete the mission by getting all my blokes to disembark from the truck and take on the infantry squads while I shot down the Hind with the AA launcher. Then I blew up the BMP's with the AA and helped my blokes out with an M21 sniper rifle. There were a couple of enemies with NVGs and three of my men got killed. We managed to get back to camp though and didn't see any other enemy units. I only saw one Hind although I think I could hear a second one. Also I managed to blow up the friendly boat - clobbered it with the AA before I realised it was one of ours! Good mission this one. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Jinef 2 Posted June 10, 2003 i did a runner with the truck and left the squad to fend by themselves, i dodged a few rocket blasts and got to the extraction point, i then told my squad to go there on foot. Mission complete with no casualties. A bit of a hairy trip back though with bmps and helis shooting at you. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
