We want to show the complete world war II an this so real as possible!!!!!maybe later the pacific war too And we do not want to copy invasion44...!!!! Christ, might as well not mod in that case, just post screen shots every other month. and for the last time, duplicating their work? Tell me Avon, at what point in time did Invasion 1944 invent the SECOND WORLD WAR? last time I checked, all of this crap is in the public domain, so whoever mods first, mods first, whoever mods best, mods best. Meet there standard? First of all, where did I say that? Second of all, most peopel want to build a better mousetrap, so I'm hoping they surpass anything out. My main point was that the mod's description was very vague. Indeed it sounds even more gargantuan after reading the team leader's response. They aren't perfect but they set a standard. I'm all for people making mods(that's why I like the game) but everyone has an opinion, it just might not be yours...so get off the soapbox. Just its presence has inspired others ,they have put out quality addons and I am impressed I like WW2 addons Please give some praise rather than slam them And Avon Lady was just trying to rumble up conversation asking what the new mod will include, nothing wrong with that. pzvg 0 Posted May 23, 2003 Canadian, Nope, I'm an American, last time I checked, when we get worked up we bomb your ass <joke people, it's a j-o-k-e> Maybe I'm too harsh but seriously, Stopple's stuff is AS good as I44's WW2EC's stuff is AS good as I44's Lots of folks make stuff, some good, some bad, some in between. Nobody is held to a standard other than community support, and once you, the community, start asking crap like "how does this compare to so and so's?" You just put a premium on someone's work, you took the friggin fun outta modding with that question. I no longer even try to make mods for the "community" I make them for my friends and myself. The community has grown jaded, selfish, and none too respectful of modders in general, even as new ground is broken, many folks are dropping out, figure it out folks, my "personal" commitments don't change on a rotating scale, neither do anyone else's, Just a modders graceful way of saying y'all suck and I don't want to deal with it anymore. And I can hold I44 to whatever standard I wish, hype aside, they are a good mod team, GOOD folks, they make mistakes just like the rest of us, I'd hold off on godhood, but that's just me. I'm not overly critical, just critical, and I will DEMAND you hold other mod teams to the same level of respect, Or you can go make your own, get it? Signing off, I'm done, period. N.o.R.S.u 0 Posted May 23, 2003 I suggest you make something new for WW2 OFP scene, like Afrika Korps for example. The way I see it WW2EC makes very nice looking early war Germans, I'44 makes very nice looking late war Germans and Allies so eventually very nice looking Afrika Korps are missing (and of course Russians). And isn't Marfy making some super high quality Afrika Korps vehicles, so this way we would have many different theatres of WW2 rather than trying to make many different versions of one specific operation.
