RN Malboeuf 12 Posted April 28, 2003 our RN member Booger is having the following problem that I have not seen or heard of, would any one have any ideas? this is the thread off our forums http://marik.emperors.net/forum-rn/viewtopic.php?p=1611#1611 this is his problem This may be a stupid question but for some reason I don't see messages when people are killed except for when I get killed. When I get killed it says "booger killed by 'whoever'". But When I kill someone, nothing comes up. Or when someone else kills someone else, nothing comes up. The only way I know who I killed is to check stats at the end. Tactically, these messages can help alot if you can tell who is getting killed and when and where. So you know if your buddy or the enemy died before charging towards an area where you just heared a firefight. I remember Delta Force did this and it was a big help. Also, if I TK someone, I have to check the stats to see if my score went down to know for sure if I TKed. This can be a problem because if I TK, I want to appologize right away instead of trying to figure it out by checking stats. Sometimes I wouldnt' know or even think to check like if I used a grenade or tank round and didnt see that someone got killed. If that happens, it may look like I'm being rude by not appologizing when I never knew in the first place because no message came up. I know there is a way to set this but I never figured it out. Can someone help me? Thanks. Booger
Mister Frag 0 Posted April 28, 2003 My guess would be a messed-up StringTable.csv file. I would recopy it (not from the original CD, since it gets patched -- I'd have one of your other clan members send you a working copy).
benu 1 Posted April 28, 2003 Maybe he turned off radio subtitles (i think were it), you don't see any kill messages then either....
