Vepr 0 Posted April 12, 2003 This should be an option for veteran mode, ability in multiplayer, where you can only chat with team members that are far away only by radio, if there is one present. Vehicle chat and direct speaking at those who are close offcorse, but if there is a team member without a radio far away from you then it makes more sence that you can't talk to him.You know what I'm talking about. CanVagabond 0 Posted April 12, 2003 Yeah but now you're taking away from the fun, adding something like that in.

If this feature were to be implemented then a special "Radioman" class like in the BAS Delta force would play a key role in the game, therefore making the radioman class a very improtant one, instead of just an addition.  It would really add excellent tactical depth to the game because all of your long-distance communications would lie in the hands of the radioman. I wonder if its possible to script something like this...
Franz_Schall -SWAF- 0 Posted April 15, 2003 In my opinion there must be a change of the value from some specialized soldiers. For example: When your Radio Operator is dead, you can't call in for air support etc. These specialists on the battlefield deserve more attention!

qUiLL 0 Posted April 15, 2003 sometimes i just wish u could disable different radios in the mission, like vehicle radio or side radio. what if your side cant communicate with the other side? i was thinking of making an MP mission where there were 2 different squads reliant on each other and use flares to make them signal and just leave group chat on but thats not possible
Tex -USMC- 0 Posted April 16, 2003 In that case, would you not be able to communicate with your opponents, because they can't understand English and you can't read Cyrillic (or vice-versa)?
