IceFire 0 Posted April 10, 2003 Ok, for the past week I have been trying(unsuccesfully) to download and install patch 1.91 No success. Either from BIS's website or from fileplanet. Anyways, I was thinking, "Should I even download this patch?", "Is it really that good?" and such. I have been playing the first campaign where you are David Armstrong. I am on the gaurdian mission. I do not want to install this and it deletes my progress. I has taken me 4 months to get this far. I remember ALONG time ago when I installed patch like 1.46 or whatever. At that time it deleted my progress.
IceFire 0 Posted April 10, 2003 Oh wait, this should be in general. Sorry mods.
Skul 0 Posted April 10, 2003 I upgraded and it never deleted anything... but here's my advice: Make a backup of your user and save files and upgrade. If the files are deleted, then put the backup files into their places. That should work (I hope).

That should never happen. Do you have the GOTY version or the Resistance CD? If the former, go for it. If the latter, if you haven't yet installed the Red Hammer and 1985 campaign patches, do so after installing 1.91, before continuing in either of those campaigns. Your Resistance campaign progress should not be affected whatsoever.
