dkraver 1 Posted April 5, 2003 Sometimes when i play OFP with some unofficial addons my computer crashes and when starting up again it gives this message after trying to detect primary master drive. Primary Master drive fails This only happends with ofp and not any other games or programs. Anyone else who have had this problem and is there a way to solve it?? dkraver 1 Posted April 6, 2003 1.4 GHz AMD Athlon 512 mb DDR RAM Nvidia GeForce 2 GTS/PRO Windows XP The failure report (not sure what english windows xp name for this is since im using danish version) gives this info E:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini030903-02.dmp E:\DOCUME~1\ALLANB~\LOKALE~1\Temp\WER1.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml Dont know if this helps anything. Mister Frag 0 Posted April 6, 2003 You didn't say what kind of motherboard and chipset you have, but if you have a VIA-based system, I would strongly suggest that you install the 4-in-1 drivers, which you can find here. If you don't know what chipset your motherboard uses, try downloading and installing the drivers -- they will detect whether they are compatible with your hardware, and not install if they are not appropriate for your system. The 4-in-1 drivers are crucial for system stability and optimum performance of VIA-based systems, and the vast majority of the boxes running Athlons in your speed range are based on VIA chipsets.
