Question about resistance and original flashpoint

Ok, I have Flashpoint and Resistance, my friends only have the original Flashpoint. I was hesistant to install resistance because we sometimes play together over the net. Can I install the expansion and still play with my friends? Could I still host the game? Thanks.

Yes you can still install OFP resistance in the OFP folder. You can simply launch the old OperationFlashpoint.exe to play with your friends. OFPR is installed much like an addon, that doesn't have to be used.

Just make sure you patch to 1.46 before patching to 1.75(res) you dont have to for "normal" play, you can go 1.0-1.75-1.91, but if you want to play 1.46 you have to patch to that before adding resistance. Then just start ofp with flashpoint.exe instead of flashpointresitance.exe
